Care

We may have chosen the best materials use on all our products, but they still require some care and love. Here are some tips to take care of them so that they can serve you for an exceptionally long time.

For all products

Do not place the products under direct sunlight for a very long time.

They are not made to be under direct sunlight unless stated.
Direct and reflective sunlight can affect all and cause fading and colour changes.

For timbers

For those coated with hard wax oil, soap and cleaning agents etc should not be used on them too often.

Daily cleaning:

Use a damp cloth to remove dust and dirt.
Abrasive cleaning products and cloths are not recommended.
If minor surface scratches appear, a coating of Carnauba Furniture Wax based polish will help blend them. Always read and follow the instructions on the tin.
Prolonged use of wipes, sprays or cleaning products is also not recomended. They usually comes with a level of cleaning ingredients that might dissolve the coating that comes with the furniture even if they have labelled themselves as "chemical-free" or "eco-friendly".

For metals

For metal material that are powder-coated, they are waterproof and can withstand mild soap.

Daily cleaning:

Wipe with a soft cloth to remove dust or anything that could wear the surface.
Abrasive products are not recommended.
General household cleaning agents like wet wipes and damp mild-soapy water are still acceptable. Make sure to go over with a damp cloth as soap will leave a mark on the surface after it is dried.
Industrial cleaning agents are not tested and not recommended.

For epoxy coated surfaces

Epoxy coated surfaces has a higher durability than hard wax oil. But certain amount of care is needed too.

These surfaces:

Are waterproof
Has a great heat resistance and melting point of > 180°C BUT it is not fire-proof.
Light chemical resistance - nail polish spill etc will not smudge and damage this surface compared to the other finishes such as hard wax oil, polyurethane, varnishes etc.
Medium-hard scratch resistance. Sharp items like diamonds, sharp tips objects etc may still leave scratches on it.
